Well Walter, I can answer that one. Doris Speed was born on 3 February 1899 in Manchester. Her home for many years was at 13 Sibson Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 9RH (where there is a commemoration plaque). She lived in Southport for many years until returning to Manchester to care for her mother after she became ill. Doris Speed died on 16 November 1994 (age 95) in a nursing home in Bury. LikeLike
