I’m really sorry to have missed this excursion. The museum looks like a great way of telling the fascinating story of Maurice Dobson and his partner. Their story is made particularly poignant by the fact that they lived during a period when cross dressing and a person’s gender/sexuality were little understood and much less tolerated.
What a sweetly, wholesome story of the love of two ex-sqaddies, who shared life, following leaving the Army and also of the acceptance of their village. Must be lovely to be in such a relationship and to not fear one’s neighbours.
