Another great visit by the Out in the City group. Bolton Parish Church is monumentally grand and our guided tour was conducted by people who are truly and rightfully proud of it. The ascent to the top of the tower wasn’t too difficult given that we rested twice: once in the bell-ringing room and again when we looked down on the peel of twelve bells. At the top the wind chill ensured out efforts were not for sissies. Thanks to Tony for organising the trip!
